Back to the briefPrivacy

We collect the minimum needed to run the brief.

Wall St. in 5 keeps data narrow: Clerk powers account access for gated product surfaces, with no billing flow and no background personalization logic.

What we collect

If you join the email list, we store your email address and signup source. If you create an account, Clerk provides the app with account identity needed to unlock gated Deal and Interview flows. Interview feedback records are tied to the authenticated Clerk subject. Standard hosting and server logs may also exist for reliability and security.

How it is used

Subscriber data is used to send brief-related communication. Account identity is used to gate paid-style product surfaces and scope interview feedback to the signed-in reader. We do not sell personal information.

Third parties

Vercel hosts the app, Clerk handles authentication, Convex stores operational records, xAI powers editorial research and writing, Vercel AI Gateway powers interview feedback, Resend sends email, and Firecrawl supplements public web search.

Retention

We keep subscriber, account-linked, and operational records for as long as they are useful to operate the service or comply with legal obligations.
